Making Perfect Tables

If you have already made a table in your MS Word document and inserted some data into it, you can change its height and width to suit the needs and size of your data. You can do it in at least a few ways:

  • By dragging the table with a mouse. You can achieve it easily by moving a mouse to the borders and then dragging it to make a cell bigger or smaller.
  • By using a Format menu. In your upper menu bar go to Format, and then choose the right options to modify the height and width of your cells. Before you do it however, remember first to select a cell that you wish to modify. Only that way you will be able to make necessary changes.
  • I work in Word every day and sooner or later you will need to create some tables, so try to remember what I have written above.

    Rotate Your Cells in Excel

If you are familiar with Excel you know that by default the text after you insert it into a cell is placed in horizontally. Sometimes you might wish to insert your text in a vertical position due to the lack of space when you put it in a horizontal position. You can change the way your text is being positioned by applying those few steps:

  • Select a cell or cells in which you want to make changes (rotate).
  • Press either Ctrl+1 to obtain Format Cells dialog box or simply go to format and then to Cells.
  • Select Alignment tab from all of the available tabs.
  • Now you have a chance to specify the number of degrees by which you want to rotate your text. Select here what suits you.
  • Press Ok button to finish.
  • I used this feature in a few on my excel files and I believe it is very useful.

    High Quality Websites

Are there too many websites on the web? In a sense each website contributes something useful, but unfortunately I am often discovering that many websites are just copies of some other site or have outdated information. What we need when it comes to the internet, is original and useful sites that  offer some valuable information, services, thoughts or products. On the other hand, we don’t need sites which are just copies of other sites that do not provide real value. A lot of people set up a site and alter abandon it and unfortunately this decreases a value of such a site, as no new content is added and since we live in fast changing times, most information on such a site might no longer be accurate.

    Paragraph Spacing using MS Word

When you write a piece of text it will sooner or later be divided into paragraphs. The spaces between paragraphs are called paragraph spacing. The thing is that you can adjust the spaces between paragraphs that will suit your needs and that will look nicely. To adjust the spaces between paragraphs, follow those steps:

    1. Place your cursor in a place where you want to make changes.
    2. Go to Format menu and select Paragraph. You will see a Paragraph box appear.
    3. From the available tabs choose Indents and Spacing tab.
    4. Now specify what the space should be by typing an appropriate number in a box.
    5. You will be asked to specify the number after and before a paragraph.
    6. After everything is done, click OK to save the changes.

Word is my favorite text editing tool and it may benefit you to know how to use this program to its full potential.

Is Internet Explorer Worth Your Time?

I do not really remember ever using IE. I know that it comes for free with every Windows installation, but so far I did not see any reason to actually open it and use it. They only reason that I might use it once per month or once every two weeks is the fact that some pages only work in IE and cannot be opened fully by me if I use Firefox and Opera. It is a pity that things look like that. I really hope that in the future more and more webpages will be compatible with Mozilla Firefox and Opera as I consider them to be better than IE and a lot safer. I have heard from many sources that Firefox is a lot safer to use and browse with it than Internet Explorer. If you want to continue using IE that’s fine with me. Do what you want. After all everybody has his own reason to do things.

    Not Everyone Switching to Vista?

Vista is the newest operating system released by Microsoft, but older OS such as XP as still very popular and many users refuse to switch to Vista. This includes home users and large companies alike. There are many reasons for such decision, but among the most popular ones is that Vista is expensive. Even though Microsoft released multiple versions of Vista in hopes of attracting a large number of customers, it has to be said that even the cheapest version of Vista Is expensive anyone. Another reason is that to get the full value out of Vista you need a relatively new computer and a lot of RAM. Learning how to use a new operating system is also an important factor.

    PC Getting Outdated Fast?

Is it only me or are video games demanding more and more of our RAM to run and a better graphic Card? I bought my computer two years ago. For that time it was good. Maybe it was not the most expensive on the market, but playing every major game that was coming out at that time was possible. I had a good deal on what I wanted to achieve- play everything I wanted to play. Today it seems to me that games are requiring more and more in order to run properly and the requirements change faster than people have time to upgrade their machines. Upgrading a PC is not that easy anyway. First, you need to find a buyer who will purchase something that you will no longer need. And why would somebody purchase something that gets outdated so easily? I wish updating a PC was easier to do like every time I want to buy a new part for my computer it would be guaranteed that I can return the old part and get money for it. This would be very nice.
